Forerunner 255 overnight battery drain

I have bought a forerunne 255 last week. Last night my battery was drained from 40% to zero over night. Not sure what caused this. Can i have someone at garmin to look into this?

  • Same issue here. Had the occasional high overnight battery drain before the new update but not as bad as it is now with the new update. Before it happened maybe once every 2 or so weeks and drained about 25% of my battery. This never happened when battery was already low but that might just be a coincidence. Since the new update last Tuesday(?) the battery died mid-night (in both cases around 3 or 4 hours after going to bed) even though the battery was still around 30% when going to bed. That way there are no sleep stats and no HRV tracking and even worse, the alarm no longer works and there might not be enough time in the morning to recharge the battery. I'm putting my watch on airplane mode each night, if that helps.

  • same issue here, though not as bad as yours. Approximately 20% on average gone per night. Tried to reset/restore, but happened twice.

  • I've had my Garmin 255 since the 13th June 23 and last night for some reason my Garmin drained from 56% to 10% overnight. Other nights has been around 3%

,I only have sleep monitoring on, no oxygen monitoring. Any idea what may have caused this or do I need an exchange!

  • It would really help with battery if Airplane Mode actually disabled bluetooth, this is an unfixed bug from a year ago. The bluetooth connection really drains battery life.
