FR 255: Animated Workouts do not show while performing downloaded compatible workout

Yesterday I became happy Garmin FR255M user. (I'm not new to Garmin though - it's my 3rd watch. Previously I had FR230 followed by FR645M).

I'm trying to understand the new (to me) feature: animated workouts (available in Yoga, Cardio, Strength and Pilates). I've downloaded few training plans from Garmin Connect and uploaded them to my watch. When I open the training on my watch I can see the animations in the preview window, but they are NOT visible during workout. All I can see is training name, but the animation is missing. I have "Workout Videos" enable in the activity settings.

Am I doing anything wrong? Is there anything else I need to do? I read the manual, I watched few videos (I found only for Fenix and Venu, but I guess it should like similar)

Does the animation work for you during training in case of FR255?

I do have firmware version 12.23

I have the same problem, but it works for strength workouts. Unsure when this would be fixed because 12.27 didnt fix it

I managed to get it working for predefined workouts only (strength or yoga), but not on the custom ones.. Even when choosing workouts that do have the animation. They display only before the training, but not during

All,

A user with a FR 955 having this issue reported that after deleting the downloaded workouts from the watch and re-downloading them, they were then able to see the animated workouts on their watch.

Please try this and follow up with your results.

Hi Kevin, I tried with one Yoga training just now and it did not work unfortunately.

Yeah, I have a FR955 just did what was posted. Deleted the work out and reloaded it to the watch. Still get no animations during the actual work out. This is actually extremely frustrating. I really want to do the yoga for runners work out however for the life of me I can not remember 91 poses. I can hold maybe 20 in my head. Than I have to stop the work out and go back to the preview to check what that poses actually looks like. It seems to defeat the purposes of having any animations.

Please be sure to reference the FAQ below, specifically the "Notes About Animated Workouts" section which states:

Workout animations are only available on premade workouts. Workout animations are not available on custom, user-created workouts.
