Recovery Heart Rate and Doing a Cool Down

For my training, I run for a specific amount of time. Recently, I have been creating workouts on Garmin that are just 1-step workouts (ex. run 60 minutes), which allows me to look ahead at what my workouts are. However, I would like to add cool downs to some of these runs as seperate steps (ex. after a tempo run). How does adding a cool down built into my workout affect my recovery heart rate, and ultimately my recovery advisor? Should I not add my cool down to my workout on my watch, wait 2 minutes after my workout, and then run a cool down?

Also, if you have any suggestions for how I am training, please let me know.
