Calorie count way too low

I have a Garmin Forerunner 235. Today I did a 55 minute kickboxing workout with an average hr of 161. My Forerunner says I only burned 166 calories. I have never had such a low count for this workout before — usually the estimate is around 600-700. There were no time gaps in the workout - the graph in Garmin Connect shows a relatively consistent effort for the full 55 minutes. My height and weight are accurate in Garmin Connect. Any suggestions on what could have gone wrong?
