But for some reason, the incoming calls just do not work properly no matter what the settings are. I only get Missed Call's vibration notification on my watch after the caller has already hung up. It is really annoying, I didn't have this issue with my previous Mi Band 6 at all. Here is my setup: Garmin Venu 4 41mm @ 17.37 Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G NE 8GB @ Android 14 / HyperOS 2.0.8.0 Garmin Connect 5.27 (but even the earlier versions of Garmin software had the same issue) Things I've tried: Giving absolutely all App & Other permissions to Garmin Connect Setting "No restrictions" to Battery saver for Garmin Connect Keeping Garmin Connect app open at all times (in Recents), "locking" it and clearing all other apps Unpairing the watch from Bluetooth settings and re-pairing it again via the Garmin Connect app Adding Garmin Connect to Backround Autostart in HyperOS Settings Downgrading to Garmin Connect v5.15.2 (reportedly the last version working properly), but it doesn't have Venu 4 support Using exclusively Google Phone app & keeping it up-to-date The phone and the watch are actually connected, I can use Find My Phone feature at any time, so the watch->phone link works fine. However, incoming calls only trigger if I am actively using my phone or stopped using it recently. After a certain period of time (say 10+ mins) of inactivity, it stops working, almost as if Garmin Connect / HyperOS is killing phone->watch connection in the background.

Forum Post: RE: Time synchronization

My issue is different. In my case, the watch sometimes sets a completely incorrect date and time, including the wrong year, but only in a specific location where there are suspected GNSS interference or spoofing effects. Outside of this location, the watch works normally. I haven't tested whether the issue depends on GNSS mode versus Multi-band mode yet. By the way, where can I find the setting to switch between GNSS-only and Multi-band mode?

Forum Post: RE: Issues with Bounce 2 connectivity

Can you reach out to me too and advise what I'm to do after spending £360? Completed all tests that was asked from support and told it’s a known issue that they are looking into sadly no time scale. Garmin seems to lean into it being "distraction-free", so I think it makes sense that it won't just randomly buzzes without you knowing why it's doing it. Personally I don't see the point of these bands where you pay similar amount to a watch, its shape and weight is similar to a small watch, but you don't even see the time on your wrist. I guess its main point is for people who already want to wear another watch but still want the health data. If you want notifications, get any of the watches with a screen. That way you know why it is buzzing or beeping.

Forum Post: RE: Sleep tracking issue on venu 3s

I got my watch yesterday and the first night sleep tracking was a joke. I woke from a crazy dream, looked at the time and it was 3:41am. I couldn't sleep so I got up at 4:26 and went in the deck to read my Bible (which is really big). I read for 2 hours, flipping pages, picking up my phone to search for contextual information, and got up to walk and sit on some squirrels. The watch showed I woke up at about 4:15, then went back to sleep until, 6:30. Clearly the watch does a poor job in this regard. I'm struggling to believe this is with the over $350 price. I think I'm going to return it and just get a heart rate monitor for $100.

Forum Post: RE: 17.33 VivoActive 6 now buggy for scoring

Played yesterday on 17.37. No change from last game on 17.33. Still not performing as good as last summer and fall. But it's not buggy, just not as good as it used to be. Still has trouble when green and next tee are very close to each other. Have to wander around tee area to find spot that gets score prompt to come up. About 3 times this round. Still refuses to prompt after 18th. Have to manually enter then save round. When it's a long enough walk green to next tee, the prompt seems be programmed at about the half way point. And it also seems that a minimum distance from last green is also programmed in. So that a short walk green to next tee has a programming conflict.

Forum Post: RE: Venus 4 altitude logging not working

Hi, after uninstalling the altimeter app it seams like the altitude logging is working correctly again for all other activities. Garmin Korea acknowledged and confirmed the issue but informed me that it is a software bug rather than a hardware defect. They advised me to wait for a future software update. Because of this response, I was unable to get a replacement device and have simply been waiting for a fix. In the meantime, I learned about the recent Beta 18.14 software and installed it. I went swimming today to test it, but unfortunately, the exact same touch screen unresponsiveness was reproduced.
