Hi all - I've run my first ever marathon in the pouring rain on Sunday after 9 years of trying. At the end of the run I stopped the watch, but before I had a chance to save it properly, the file vanished. Because the watch was so wet I must have accidentally pressed delete.
I've mounted the watch as a file system as multiple others have suggested and found the file. The timestamp is correct following the end of the run, but when I try to upload it - it doesn't work. - it says the file type is invalid.
I have been looking here for advice :
but I am not technical enough to do this :
- search corrupted parts with FitSDK
- remove them with hex-editor
- use Fit File Tools to repair the summary data structure at the end of the file
I am absolutely desperate to recover my Loch Ness Marathon. Right now it's as if it never happed - elusive as the Loch Ness Monster itself.
Any technies familiar with FIT recovery -- Please please please help !
