"Wait for GPS" Hangs in Vivoactive 3

Its my new Vivoactive 3 watch, just bought. I have been with the watch out for more than 30 minutes, in clear sky, trying to get the GPS signal but the watch doesn't get our of this state

Is there anything I missed configuring?

I updated the latest software updates.

Hello! Can you try syncing with Garmin Express then unplug, hold the power button for 45 seconds ignoring power off and then turn it back on. Let me know if this helps!

Followed the steps but didn't work.

Ok, at this point I can have you restore the device to defaults. Sync your device first. On the watch go to settings, system then restore to defaults. This should correct the GPS to connect to the satellites. I understand this is not ideal on a new watch but if you could try this and get back to me that would be great!

I have encountered the same after a software update with a new phone. Now it keeps spinning on wait for GPS.

Did a restore default and power off to no solution.

What else should I try?

Garmin tech support helped me with a replacement since none of the actions resulted in the GPS connecting. And we tried many and multiple times.
