vivosport auto pause stopping me from tracking my activity at all

I have been happily using the Vivosport to track my spinning indoors until last week.  I try to start the timer for the indoor activity option and on the double tap to start it is auto pausing immediately even though i am cycling away. 

It seems I have accidentally changed a setting somewhere but have no idea what to do as I've tried everything mentioned in the forums.  Anyone any ideas what I can do please?  I'd like to turn auto pause off on the indoor activity option as i won't be pausing during spinning that's for sure!

    Auto pause must be turned on or off for each individual activity (run, walk, bike, etc.).

    Using the Auto Pause® Feature

    You can use the Auto Pause feature to pause the timer automatically when you stop moving. This feature is helpful if your activity includes stop lights or other places where you need to stop.

    NOTE: The paused time is not saved with your history data.
    NOTE: The Auto Pause feature is not available for all activities.
    1. Hold the touchscreen to view the menu.
    2. Select , and select an activity.
    3. Select Auto Pause to turn on the feature.
    4. Start your activity.
