Does HR Ant+ work with non-Garmin devices?

I set my Vivosmart 4 to broadcast HR via Ant+. My ELEMNT MINI doesn't pick it up as an Ant+ sensor. Any advice is appreciated.

The Wahoo Elemnt Mini works with dual-band wahoo sensors only. Generic ANT+ sensors are not supported.
