Wrist irritation

I've been getting blistering and a rash when wearing my Vivosmart 4, having to swap wrists regularly until the affected wrist heals, then swap back so the other wrist can heal.

It's on the side of my wrist and a little on top, but mainly under the QR code area.

I've tried loosening the strap until it slips around, not getting it wet etc, but nothing seems to help.

Is this a known issue? I like it other than this.

I've seen it reported with other devices. Garmin always recommends that you reach out to Garmin Customer Care for any issues with their products possibly causing a skin rash. https://support.garmin.com

I get the same thing.

The problem is in the summer.

I get off for a month last summer because this issue.

I guess very poor band material is the cause.

I am getting the same problem. I now disabled the heart rate monitor, because I suspect that the constant illumination of the leds may contribute to the issue. The burning sensation is right where the heart rate sensor sits.

No issue with my Garmin Forerunner, but I only wear that when doing sports.

I've been having the same issue. I contacted support and they are going to look into it. I clean my band well. I didn't wear it for a week for my wrist to heal. Put it back on Sunday and woke up today with a painful blister where my Vivosmart 4 sits. I NEVER had this issue with the Garmin Vivofit I had for years before this one. My Vivosmart 4 I have had for one year and have had multiple skin irritations with it.

Hi.

I have encountered this issue also with Vivosmart 4.

It is from the screw hole under the bracelet that it is like a small hole that irritates the area.

I chatted with support last week and he was supposed to forward my info on to the appropriate team for them to contact me. I am still waiting for Garmin to contact me.

Same issue. I can’t even tolerate it for an hour now. I will try it with the sensor off, but I have cleaned it. I read something about a nickel allergy. Looking for answers now.
