Heart rate monitor

i have vivo smart 4 and the heart monitor suddenly is not correct. I ha e recently done my regular spin class where it use to measure a HR up to 180, now it is more like 130 max!!! I know 130 is not correct! Anyone else experience this ?

Yes, similar problem, and I am extremely frustrated! I went through all the troubleshooting steps at the Garmin site and the problem persists. My watch is reading REALLY low when I'm exercising at high intensity and reading normally when I'm just doing ordinary activities around the house.

Shortly after I posted my watch started working normally again. Who knows. I'm just glad I can track my intensity minutes and zones again.

I think what's making a difference is I'm wearing my watch just sightly closer to my elbow than before. I still don't understand what happened, it never used to matter, but last night I kept it about a centimeter behind my wrist bone instead of right on it (as the directions say to do).

This problem has been driving me nuts. To be working out at your max and look at your watch and see 64 bpm ... Just maddening! Anyway, I did another search and it seemed to be more accurate while following the steps at Suunto in the link at the top of the post. Wear your watch two fingers below your wrist bone (closer to the elbow). If it seems crazy low, stop exercising for a few seconds, let it catch up.

This seemed to work today.

Too bad Garmin didn't offer this info.
