Display faded Vivomove HR after 2 years

During the second year of service digital display started fade on the sides, then, progressivle, faded away completely.

Everything else is working.

This looks like a factory defect, or intentional defect and I don't see any positive comments about Garmin to take care of it. Support chat is consistently busy or closed. 

So, Garmin, what would you propose?
