Vivomove HR watch not scrolling smoothly/not syncing

First I apologise if this questions has been asked but I can not find any answers.

My Vivomove HR watch on occasions does not respond when double tapping the screen. When/if it eventually does, the scroll feature across the watch jumps and moves very slowly as opposed to the smooth scroll which should happen. 

It can take hours for this to stop and return to normal. Any ideas why this may be the case?

It also regularly drops out of syncing with my iphone 7. It is always in range of the phone but often can not detect a device. Again any ideas are greatly appreciated.
