Which Garmin tracker families can take input from a chest strap, as well as optical?

Sorry about posting in wrong forum but cannot find where to post general Garmin questions, with so many different tracker families. I am looking for an activity tracker, probably with optical heart rate monitor for most of the time, but that can take input from a chest strap while exercising. Is this available only on high-end running watches?

if the name starts with vivo (vivoactive being an exception), then it won't work with an external strap. All other Garmin wearables from the current lineup should work with an external strap, but it's always a good idea to verify it in the specs once you made your choice.
