Vivofit Jr 2 with latest app [July 2018]

I'm getting really frustrated.

I have 2 VivoFit Jr 2 for the kids.

They will randomly NOT report sleep or steps

They will randomly NOT connect to iPhone X and sync (I have paired and re-paired many times) - 1st to (re)pair will usually get connected but 2nd one will hardly ever. But sometimes it will which makes it rather random.

Vivofit Jr iOS App keeps asking to sign up for email (better than previous version but still PITA)

My own Fenix 5x is "almost" rock solid in comparison.

Any input?
