After upgrade from 6.3 to 6.4 average HR dropped A LOT.

hi

I use a Vivofit 4 and always with a Dual HRM chest strap.

I had an upgrade from 6.3 to 6.4 earlier in the week. I think on Wednesday or Tuesday?

Since then my average HR has dropped from 130 to 88.

That cannot be right. I can clearly see the drop in my dashboard. The day 6.4 is on the watch it starts dropping. The training is the same every week and level of intensity is the same etc. Its repetitive so I am confident thats the problem is not there. I changed the battery of the HRM Dual chest strap and I noticed the strap connectivity message when I start the exercise.

Has anybody seen anything like this? Is it possible to downgrade to 6.3?

Thanks.

Eric

  • Update: support have been very friendly/helpful HOWEVER; Garmin is not allowing a downgrade to 6.3 to test if the upgrade is the problem. Their theory is the HRM dual is faulty and want to replace it. However, I cant find proof of purchase. So too bad for me ey?

If Garmin allowed downgrade and the problem persists.. I have no problem. However, the blocking of the downgrade does not rule in the HRM Dual strap.

I guess I wont be Garmin customer for much longer.
