Vivoavtive 3. Flashing green bluetooth/phone icon

Hello. Getting really frustrated with my watch losing connectivity to my iPhone (XR). It started a couple of months ago and despite following all of the troubleshooting tips nothing worked. Then following a phone system upgrade lo and behold they reconnected.

All was going great until yesterday. No matter what I do I cannot get them 'speaking' to each other. It's definitely not the phone as it will bluetooth to other devices. 

The watch is now just over 4 years old but I'm hoping that, unlike me, age is not the issue!

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
