Vivoactive 3 not receiving text notifications

This has happened a couple times for me, not sure how it fixed itself in the past. I get all types of notifications (i.e. calls, Facebook) to my VA3, but not text. I checked, and I have permissions for sms allowed in the connect app settings, and I have phone notifications turned on on the watch. I also forgot the watch, and repaired it with my phone but that didn't help either. Am I missing a setting? Frustrated this keeps happening...
