My GPS won’t connect? I have had this watch for a couple of months and for the past week it will not connect to GPS.

My Garmin device will not connect to GPS. This is been happening for about a week and I cannot sync my runs or even connect to GPS to track my stats. Nothing has changed, it hasn’t got dropped and it hasn’t got water on it.

I have a Fenix 5, and my phone is an Apple 8.

For the Fenix 5, this process should work. If not, I can move this thread to the Fenix 5 forum for better visibility, since this is not an iOS issue.

Plug the watch into a computer
Open the device hard drive
- Windows:
  - Open File Explorer
  - Click on This PC
  - Click on the Fenix 5
- Mac
  - Open Finder
  - Go to Computer
  - Click on the Garmin Drive
Once in click on the Garmin Folder
In the Garmin Folder delete the RemoteSW folder.
Sync with Garmin Express
Take the watch outdoors and wait for satellite acquisition.
