Floor count just with GPS - enabled
Floor count just with GPS - enabled
Hello! If your baro test is indicating invalid then this device will need to be exchanged. Are you by chance in the US or CAD?
I bought this watch in US. But I live in UE, so I think I can't exchange
Hello, I’ve always had issues with my watch giving incorrect elevation read outs and floor counts that were unreasonable. After looking through forums I’ve noticed that I may have this same problem, as I checked my barometer test and it’s invalid.
What can I do to fix this issue?
Thanks
HI there! Are you located in the US or CAD?
US - Wichita, KS to be more specific
Thank you, I sent an email out to you!
Hey AmberD, same problem with mine, I'm in Canada.
Based on the first post in this thread, it seems to be a hardware problem. There are a couple of things to try:
1. Calibrate the elevation by choosing a floor climb activity but wait at least 30 seconds before starting it.
2. Install an IQ app that reports elevation. I've used this one in the past.

You could also try cleaning the barometer sensor port hole on the bottom of the watch near the button in a regular VA3 and in the middle of the watch on the VA music.

Thank you for contacting Garmin International. I am happy to help you work through troubleshooting steps for your vivoactive 3.
The floors climbed feature is measured through an onboard barometer. Barometer readings can sometimes become skewed by large wind, pressure, or temperature fluctuations.

I would first encourage you to clean the barometer port of your device by rinsing it under water or gently using a soft-bristled toothbrush or toothpick. Over time, this port can become clogged with sweat, dirt, sand, etc.
