Garmin tech, is there a provision to pin a software version? If I am on a working version I want the option to refuse further updates that will likely break current functionality. We shouldn't be forced…

After automatic update to sw7.20 my va3 wont connect to mynhuawei p30 pro anymore. Have reinstalled garmin connect. And tryed to connect the va3 as new device. But an error says that the va3 might need a firmware update to be able to connect to a Huawei device.....
I am facing the same problem and Garmin told me to send the unit to repair, this must be a software bug. Indeed, CIQ using 1 data field per screen drains the battery like crazy...
All of my problems started with the upgrade from the SW 6.60 to the 6.90, this is insane! Please, Garmin, let me roll back the SW or at least deliver a stable version.
I had a similar problem.. The only solution was to reset the watch to defaults.
I did it with no luck, I am still waiting for a SW upgrade that fixes the problem
Garmin doesn't even reply if they will release an updated software as with V3M since ~1month ago. Based on their non-responsiveness in general on this topic since about September 2019, I no longer expect them to fix this issue, seems like V3 is EOL and software support
After reading all the issues they're having with the VA4 I am definitely not getting one. Besides, they don't make it in the size I want. 40mm is too small and 45mm is too damn big lol.
