Hi all, I have a vivoactive 3 running version 2.80, however Garmin Connect and Garmin Express refuse to update it to version 2.90 (they show 2.80 as the latest version). Is there any workaround for this?
I'm having trouble syncing my vivofit. Garmin Express has stopped showing the blue circle with the 1 in it to show an update with my vivofit is available. I was running v. 5.7.1.0 of Garmin Express and when I checked for updates, the system said I was up to date. However, when I checked in About, Garmin Express indicated v. 6.0.0.0 was available. I downloaded and installed this version. Now when Garmin Express checks for updates, it says I'm up to date and am running v. 4.90. When I check in About, my version number is showing as v 6.0.0.0. Still can't sync my vivofit.
I think you may have accidently posted on the wrong forum. This is for the Vivoactive 3. There is a separate forum for both the Vivofit and Garmin Express PC and Mac if you're still having problems updating you Vivofit.
Updates are released by region. I seems like Asia is the last to receive them and can be weeks behind. Are you from that region?
not sure which Asian countries get them that late.. but im also in Asia, and i received the update a few hours after the topic of v2.90 being released was posted.
Yup, I just found out that my unit is the Asia Pacific version. Thing is, I bought 2 of them at the same time from the same distributor and one is the US version, while the other is the APAC version. Garmin really need to stop crippling the other versions... I can't see why we even need region specific firmware??
