Ended up buying the watch even without information on the Bluetooth. Absolutely LOVE the Venu SQ music! It must have a more recent Bluetooth because the range away from my phone is much farther that when I use my Vivoactive 4. Wish Garmin had gotten back to me and replied to my question but at least the watch turned out to be amazing at the sale price of $149!
