Ski activity auto pause

My venu sq does not auto pause whilst in skiing activity so only records one run and that includes chair lifts. Anyone know how to remedy this?

there doesn’t appear to be an auto pause in skiing. You’d have to hit the A button to manually pause it but after 15 minutes it will autosave if you don’t restart it. I wish there was…

Your forerunner probably was equiped with a barometric altimeter, which the venu sq is lacking. A barometric altimeter helps determine whether you are going up in a chairlift or going down skiing.

Thanks for replying. That's a bit pants then, it makes me wonder what is the point of the skiing activity! Skiing activity worked perfectly on the forerunner I had.
