Venu 2 Sq firmware 3.0 update failure

The 3.0 Firmware download failed with a message to indicate not enough memory on my Venu 2 Sq device.

I have cleared all .fit from the device activities folder via my computer and also via Garmin express and now have only the original apps supplied with the Venu device.

Please advise.

How much music do you have on the watch?

Thanks. No music or extra apps. Just original spcification.

check in the garmin/debug folder.

This happened to me also, I had to remove some watch faces to free up enough memory and then it worked.

Thank you for responding. I have only 2 watch faces, both with low memory use. I tried to delete them repeatedly but they are still on the device.

Try deleting the watch face through Garmin Express and doing the update through it also. Seems to work better that way.

Once the update is done you’ll have the free memory again to put the faces back on.

Thanks Cindi. I erased all data via mobile phone Connect app and deleted bluetooth pairing on iPhone. Then paired as new device. Then connected to Garmin Express on Mac via USB cable. Synch found and synched all old data. Then update installed successfully. Thanks for your help and perseverance as advice on Garmin website did not work.
