Battery drain on venu sq

What is your shortcut?  I think the “default” shortcut when you swipe to the right is GPS and it will constantly search for GPS and drain the watch battery fairly quickly.  

Thanks for the reply. The shortcut is garmin wallet and not GPS. Also, it is strange as I had not changed any settings in the past week before this happened. I had also turned the GPS off for activity tracking. Still, no change. 

My Garmin Venu also have the same issue after the last two firmware update. Sometimes, a fully charge watch only last until noon. I did not change any setting since the first time the watch was setup. Before, the battery could last two days. 

I notice that After morning alarm. The watch setting somehow change so that I need to restart in order to get my previous setting. For example, the watch face will always on full, and it drains battery fast. After restart, the watchface is back to my normal setting, dimmed after a couple of second. After restart, the battery will last for two days again. But I have to remember restarting my watch every morning.

Do you have the watch face “always on” turned on?  Or Pulse OX set to all day?

No, I don’t have watch face “always on” turn on. Even I change it using the original watch face, the problem still persist. Pulse OX only when Insleep. It is always like that since the begining.

Have you tried a reboot?  Hold the top button for 20 seconds or so and the watch will turn off on it's own.  Then turn it back on.

I use the App "MyBattery" to track the usage, since I switched back to a pre-installed Watchface it uses ~0.7%/hour, while Chariot J-Shock uses around 1-1.1%/hour. 

Maybe you could try this to track down your Problem?
