Venu sq Strava sync problem

I had a venu and after completing a run Garmin connect synced with strava and in strava i could are that my workout was done with the venu! Now i switched from venu tot venu sq, removed ofcourse the venu from connect app, nut now after completing and syncing no device is shown in Strava, where it should say venu sq! Any Idea how to fix this? Thanks!

Hello! Can you open the Garmin App then go to settings>Partner apps>Strava. Select disconnect at the bottom and force close Strava and Garmin. Open the Garmin app back up and follow the same steps and then connect the apps back.

Well just did a run but still on strava my device, the venu sq does not show!

Can you disconnect the apps one more time but then remove the device from the Garmin app. Lets add the device back to the app and be sure it shows "preferred activity tracker." Then after you have performed an activity it should now show as Venu SQ in Strava. Could you keep me posted if this resolved it.

Just did as you said, after reconnect the watch etc did a little walk, but still on strava the watch is not showing! Can i perhaps disconnect, completely remove Garmin app from my phone, reboot both, reinstall Garmin app and reconnect the watch?

No, that is not necessary. With all data showing correctly on the Garmin app and still syncing to Strava, it seems as though this may something on Stravas side. I am going to test this on my side with my device and Strava and see if the same thing happens!

Okay thank you, my wife also has a Venu sq and with her strava does show her Venu sq! Ik think mine does not show because i switched from Venu to Venu sq! I will wait what your test is bringing!

Yes, anytime you have synced the device to the app and it shows preferred activity it will show in Strava with the correct device. There is unfortunately not a setting around this on Garmin's side. I would go ahead and reach out to Strava support.

I had the same issue. I am using venue sq and device name doesn't show in strava activities. I performed the steps mentioned by you but issue persists. Just to clarify, I am using Garmin device first time so it is not the same issue mentioned by 4515188

Are your activities syncing successfully to the Garmin App? Have you tried disconnecting the apps from one another?
