How scratch-resistant is the metal casing of the watch?
The Venu 4 has a fiber-reinforced polymer case with a stainless steel bezel and rear cover. While stainless steel is highly resilient against daily bumps, it is not completely scratch-proof. Over time, it can pick up minor surface scuffs or scratches, especially if it comes into contact with harder, abrasive materials like brick walls or concrete.
Thank you for the information! I would like to use a TPU case on the watch that fits quite snugly. Is there a risk that the stainless steel parts of the watch might get scratched when putting on this material?
andschuster In general, a TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) case is a soft material and typically would not be expected to scratch the stainless steel components of the watch during installation or use. That said, there is a possibility that dirt, sand, or other abrasive particles could become trapped between the case and the watch, potentially causing cosmetic marks over time. Garmin cannot guarantee compatibility or prevent wear that may result from the use of third-party accessories.
Do you have any concrete experience?
Many users reported about how quickly Venu 4 collects marks/scratches. Same as with previous Venu. Price increased but durability did not.
