problems in the context of battery replacement

Hallo,

my index worked for two months using the original batteries of Gamin. Today I observed that the display starts flickering faintly (mainly when wlan transfer started), but the low battery icon doesn't shine. Nevertheless I replaced the batteries and flickering disappeared. After that I must connect the index again to the wlan. In the app there is then the confirmation that the index is again connected to the wlan, but transferring of data to garmin doesn't work. I must turn off the mac-filter of my router and then turn it on again and transferring works despite the mac-address of my index was already registered to it  Now I have the following questions:

1. How long will batteries normally be usable?

2. Does anybody observed a faintly flickering of the display when batteries becoming weak?

3. Is it normal that one must reconnect the index to wlan after replacing batteries?

Thank you for help!

Andreas
