Keep loosing sync / pairing and having to re-pair

twice now in the last week or so the ISM has failed to connect / sync to Connect (on iOS). It seems like the ISM has completely reset itself or something.

I end up having to remove it from Connect and re-add it, then it'll work again, but lost that nights sleep data.

Not sure if this is related, but it will seemingly randomly buzz 15-30 mins after putting it on some nights. I don't have any alarms set.

Any ideas what's going on, or how to fix it?

  • Same happened to me these last two days. It doesn’t happen too frequent, but when it happens is very annoying. Wonder if this is due to the new software update?. I had to remove the device as well and re pair

  • Same thing happened here yesterday. I plugged the ISM to charge and the status light start flashing like a Christmas tree.  Red, Green, White.  Turns out this is the light combo for a device reset!  WTF!  So I had to go through the full repairing process.  Worst part is I did not realize this had taken place until this morning when I could not figure out why my sleep had not sync'd from the night before.  Only then did I look up the colour combo of the flashing lights and realize what had happened.

  • I lost 2 nights data, yesterday and today. Same problem. Hate it!

  • Same happens to me every 1-2 charge cycles. The only thing that works is forced pairing where I have to plug/unplug ISM to/from USB and then tap it many times so it goes into pairing mode. I'm on Android if that makes any difference.

  • Having same problem with it becoming unpaired and loosing data. Also don't get any update that battery is low.

  • Hi, everyone! To help look into this further, can you reply with the following info below if you are still experiencing the same concern:

    • When did you first notice that the device unpaired/you lost data?
    • Is this daily that the device disconnects?
    • What steps do you have to do to get the device working again? Do you just need to unpair/repair?
    • Does the device flash purple when in pairing mode?
    • Are you using an Android or iPhone?

If you are noticing additional things with the Index Sleep besides the Bluetooth connectivity concern, please open a new thread. That will help to make sure nothing gets lost. Thank you!

  • It is not daily but has happened more than once. The last time I was paying more attention.

I am pretty sure the battery had fully discharged. When I charged, it was no longer connected. I had to pair, again but that was normal process and it did flash purple. I am on an iPhone.

  • Hi! I am using Android.

I noticed problems on May 6, because my night before was assigned to my day hours, and the current night was not recognized (no sleep data) at all. I looked into sys_log.txt and found out that crashes were happening regularly, but only in May they started to affect my sleep readings directly. So here's some data for you:

I had SNS_ERR.TXT that contained 2 same lines: "Sensor Hub hard resetting".

SYS_LOG.TXT of May 6 shown that crashes has been happening since April 18 just 4 days after a firmware update to version 3.91 was installed on April 14 (confirmed by fw_update.log). Here's the content of sys_log.txt:
    2026/04/18 09:03:37, SILENCE REBOOT
    2026/04/21 05:24:33, reset reason 0x100002
    2026/04/25 09:11:46, reset reason 0x100002
    2026/04/27 09:35:20, reset reason 0x100000
    2026/04/29 04:49:51, reset reason 0x100002

    2026/05/05 07:41:03, SILENCE REBOOT
    2026/05/05 09:42:20, reset reason 0x100000
    2026/05/05 10:38:28, SILENCE REBOOT
    2026/05/06 05:17:35, reset reason 0x100002

What steps do you have to do to get the device working again? Do you just need to unpair/repair?

Unpair-pair again did not work, only factory reset fixed the problem.

Also, as I understood, last crash May 6 happened exactlyl at the moment when I was syncing my Index Monitor, and this crash did wipe minute-by-munute data about my sleep, so currently before syncing the Index Monitor with My phone, I connect it to my laptop and copy all the data there. Just in case. And from May 6 (after reset) till today, May 18, I didn't have any sleep data lost. Although today's file sys_log.txt contatins 2 new lines:
    2026/04/18 09:03:37, SILENCE REBOOT
    2026/04/21 05:24:33, reset reason 0x100002
    2026/04/25 09:11:46, reset reason 0x100002
    2026/04/27 09:35:20, reset reason 0x100000
    2026/04/29 04:49:51, reset reason 0x100002
    2026/05/01 08:44:36, reset reason 0x100002
    2026/05/02 07:43:23, reset reason 0x100002
    2026/05/05 07:41:03, SILENCE REBOOT
    2026/05/05 09:42:20, reset reason 0x100000
    2026/05/05 10:38:28, SILENCE REBOOT
    2026/05/06 05:17:35, reset reason 0x100002
    2015/01/01 00:00:06, reset reason 0x1
    2015/01/01 00:00:04, reset reason 0x1

So if you need any of the files from May 6, the state before factory reset, let me know, I have those still.

    • When did you first notice that the device unpaired/you lost data? evening of may 16
    • Is this daily that the device disconnects? no
    • What steps do you have to do to get the device working again? Do you just need to unpair/repair? On the morning of may 17, a simple unpair/repair solved the issue. When I turned the index sleep monitor on, it was already in pairing mode.
    • Does the device flash purple when in pairing mode? yes
    • Are you using an Android or iPhone? android
