Issue description: When the eBike remains stationary for about 10 minutes, the Bosch Smart System automatically shuts down. The Garmin Edge 1040 stays powered on the entire time. When the eBike is switched on again, the Edge 1040 does not automatically reconnect to the Bosch Smart System. Even manually searching for sensors again on the Edge 1040 does not restore the connection. Workaround: The connection is only restored properly after fully powering off the Garmin Edge 1040 and turning it back on again. Expected behavior: After switching the eBike back on, the Edge 1040 should automatically reconnect to the Bosch Smart System, or at least reconnect after manually searching for sensors again. I did a longer ride this week. I imported the planned route into Garmin, and also the message appeared indicating that the elevation data had been adjusted. Several climbs were detected, and Climb Pro actually worked as intended along the route. So all is well on that front! BTW: There also has been a map update But Strava segments still aren’t working. I also tried the star/unstar tip. In fact, I even marked completely new segments. Nevertheless, not a single segment popped up during the ride (navigation turned on). I looked into the device's file system and I also can confirm that there are a lot of fit files in the segments folder. So the data should be there. On a previous ride, I even selected a segment from the Strava menu on the Edge and clicked “download.” That didn't show up during the ride either. Thanks to @luco79 for pointing me in the right direction. The solution was in two parts. For the Edge, the cause was an auto-detected maximum heart rate at a level far above my actual maximum. This resulted in the Edge displaying zones 1-5 but failing to calculate performance condition because it didn't register the HR above 70% of the [impossibly high] max HR. Fix for Edge: in Garmin Connect, go to device, locate 'cycling' in heart rate zones and reset the maximum HR value. Synchronise Connect with the Edge. For the Fenix 7 The above steps may also apply but the additional issue was that the Fenix was not connected to the power meter. You can do this while Activity recording. Why it changed to a different profile? You most likely touched it accidentally or a drop of sweat did it. You can lock the touchscreen by pressing the power button on the side while in an activity.
