The issue is that somehow the navigation stuff went wrong and now I'm left with a 0.01 km activity after a 100km ride (even a PR maybe). I tried several online fit file tools, but while I'm able to see that there are in fact events for the whole ride contained in the file, I found no way to reconstruct the actual activity. Please see the attached file which I copied of my Edge 1040. I've changed the unit 3 times thinking it was defective, but it still happens. I've replaced the battery a few times to make sure it's always fresh and it doesn't lead to disconnection. The HR monitor just disconnects from my Edge unit, then after a few minutes, it reconnects and works. Sometimes it happens once in a ride. Other times it will disconnect a few times. Other times it stays connected. There's no logical pattern I've been able to identify. Other HR monitors work just fine. The datafierlds i use are Windfield, Windy, Fat burner. In the logs folder is no log of the crash. A few weeks ago (few SW versions back) all worked fine. My main bet is on the latest SW updates for Edge 1040 Solar.
