First, I did try searching for this information before asking.
- The Garmin instructional video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVaUocL6Vck) says you need a pedal wrench and shows the replacement happening on a pedal not installed onto a bike. While that seems sensible for the purposes of producing an instructional video, I can’t think of a reason it would be required in practice.
Question: Is it necessary to remove the pedals from the bike to do the replacement?
- The mineral oil recommendation is apparently now official, since it’s shown in the same video.
Question: Is it acceptable to use mineral oil that contains dissolved PTFE (Teflon / Syncolon)?
