Is a Garmin (or other brand) head unit required to capture and view all of the Garmin Vector 3 pedal data in real-time?
I am going for a minimalist setup and would like to use the Garmin Vector 3 pedals using only my Garmin watch (FR735XT) and smartphone (Apple iPhone) with the Garmin Connect app. I know that the Garmin Vector 3 pedals are compatible with all of the Garmin Edge head units and the Connect Mobile App, but again, I would prefer to not buy and use a head unit since I already have a smartphone and smart watch.
