I thought this might be useful to identify what battery doors you have. 1 is the original ones, 2 is the first update, 3 is the most recent update.
Unfortunately for Garmin there are first class and second class countries. As for me, and this CODI-19 crisis will teach us many things and one of them will be to value what is done in each country, or…
I understand you, that's why I find very hard to buy other garmin products in the future. I will use what I have until it dies.
The new ones that I received last month don’t look like those old ones Jimbo. I also got that version last year. I found an email in my Junk mail from Garmin informing me of the new ones. Followed the link, ordered them up for free and they are working really well at the minute. No issues after 6 rides.
No I can't wait when they will send new covers if that's the problem that I have to send to service the pedals every month. I need a device that will work now. I will take actions to have full refund.

First update was just a battery door in 2018 June. Then next update has battery door together with battery bay around 2019 March. Then third update with new battery door + battery bay around 2019 Sept. Then recently (2020 Apr) a new battery bay +battery door.

I haven’t received an email and am have “right pedal missing” problems constantly.
went to Garmin UK website and it says that the new covers are on “back order”. Phoned and message said that unless I had a staff email address they couldn’t provide tech support.
My Vector3’s are still in warranty and have already been replaced once.
anyone have any suggestions as to what I could do next?
If I were you I would contact to the shop where it was purchased from.
