Battery life?

Just polling people to see what sort of battery life you're getting with your Vector 3 pedals.

So far, using very cheap batteries, I've got 62 hours & then 57 hours use from the last two sets.

These times come from time spent riding then rounding up each ride to nearest 0.1 hr ( 6 mins) to allow for cal time at start,

and guessing how long they take to sleep after use.

The cheap batteries are costing me about £0.32 per set, so very cheap.

Considering giving Duracell power+ a go; has anyone used these & got good battery life?

New to the Vector 3 pedals. My first set of batteries didn't last long at all! 2-3 rides over 2 weeks = 8-10 hours.

After looking around I eventually found a golden snippet saying to remove the Bluetooth pairing from your phone to stop the pedals waking up every time the phone was near. The second set of batteries have now been in for a couple of months and are still reporting good after each activity in Garmin Connect (web).

Thanks for that. I tend to leave my 'phones bluetooth off anyway, just turning it on on the few occasions I need it, then off again.

Can I ask what battery make you're using? e.g. Duracell, Energiser etc?

I'm using very cheap Unicell from eBay (Chinese), £1.50 for 20, so ~32p per set of 4, Duracells would work out at ~£1.50 per set of 4, so 5 times more expensive, I doubt I'd get 200 to 250 hrs, Garmin say ~120 hours per set.

I must admit I was surprised/frustrated I didn't see any guidance about 'breaking' the Bluetooth connection once the pedals were set up. It might be in the instructions somewhere but it didn't stand out.

My current batteries are Energizer LR44/A76 which are currently on Amazon (UK) for £1.93 for 4. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B017B7DQ96 So far no complaints. I might try a set of SR44's next just to see how they compare to the LR44, but at the moment I am happy with the Energizer LR44. So long term I foresee I will stick to 'known brands' unless I see good feedback for an 'unknown brand'.

especially the baby oil is perfect for the batter life, cause of the battery fretting!
