I have spent over $900 on this gear, it is brand new and it will not pair. But my new Edge 1050 will pair with my 13 year old Garmin speed, cadence sensors and heart rate monitor!

The pedals were showing a 16% charge when I started charging them. I used a power bank and connected a USB-A to USB-C split cable so I could charge both pedals at once. I went out to check on them, and the lights were out, and the power bank had turned off. I checked and the pedals were only at 89%. So I'm trying again today (a couple of days later). The power bank has turned itself off a couple of times. I'm now trying to charge one pedal at a time.

Does anyone have any charging tips for me?

I've had this happen as well. Some power banks will shut off after a certain time period if they don't detect a charge current above a certain level. Rally charge current is ~90mA at 5V, so 2x90mA is presumably below whatever this threshold is.

I contacted Garmin Support. They set up a session where they could see my computer screen, and had me bring my bike inside. I connected the left pedal to my computer using the USB-C cable supplied with the pedals. I used Garmin Express to add my pedals and check that they were up to date on software. Now I'm charging the two pedals using the two USB-C cables supplied with the pedals. Both sides are flashing once every two seconds, indicating they are above 90%. My Edge 1050 showed them at 94% before I started the call to Garmin Support.

After about 45 minutes more charging, both pedals showed a solid green light, and the Edge 1050 showed them at 100% charge.

Look said to use some lubricant on the Grip cleats, and a bike shop told me to use candles. Nope,. fix the damn thing. Meanwhile, I was able to purchase two sets of Garmin cleats.

I have the Rally RK210 and have owned several versions of the Vector Pedals. I always used Look Keo Pedals with no problem. Lately, I saw the Garmin Pedals and purchased those for one of my cycling shoes. Works great. However, I purchased a pair of Look Keo pedals with 4 degrees float for another pair of cycling shoes and they make a lot of noise. I kep tthinking it was my chain or drivetrain, but the noise would stop when I stopped pedalling and it was higher when I pushed up a hill. I tried to ride with my shoes that have the Garmin cleats, and there was no noise at all. Something tells me that the Look cleats do not work as well with the Garmin Rally pedals since Garmin now offers their own cleats.

However, no store has any stock in these cleats and I am told they can only order them in September. So the expensive pedals seem to only work properly with the Garmin cleats but we cannot purchase them.,

Is this an actual issue that only I am experiencing?

I'm looking for the replacement XC200 pedals in Europe. I can only find the right one. The left one is nowhere to be found. Has Garmin discontinued these yet?

Favero DOES make Look Keo compatible pedal bodies as of a few months ago, I have a pair and have been using them.

I reached out to Look and they confirmed there is an issue, and in fact suggested I use the older version of cleats. I manage to purchase a set of the non-Grip cleats and there were no issues. This is a Look issue, not a Garmin issue.

I have owned every generation of Garmin power pedals. I have never even tried Garmin cleats. I use Look Keo black cleats (zero degree float), and have never had a problem with clip in /out or noise (though I must say I wear hearing aids). I recently bought a competing brand of power pedals, and have bought that brand's zero degree float cleats, but I have not yet tried those cleats with Garmin pedals.

I believe I wore my first Garmin pedals to the point that they did not make good contact with the cleats. I was able to exchange those pedals for Vector 3's, at a reasonable "trade-in" value for well-used pedals.

I rode the bike with Rally RK210 pedals today. My shoes have somewhat used Look cleats. I had no problems.

It is my opinion that Garmin has always made their Look compatible pedals to work with Look Keo cleats - red, gray, or black. And that competing brand has done so, too.

I had the same issue. I was pairing and unpairing the right pedal (or unlinking the right pedal) on Garmin Connect app, but it would automatically reappear, and kept getting the error code 1024.

So I "unpair right pedal sensor" from the Garmin Edge computer, and then linked it again and since then I have been able to calibrate both pedals

Hi,

when I try to calibrate my Garmin Rally 200 pedals, I get a error code 1024, and the right pedal does not communicate with the left. The light on the right pedal is constant green, and on the left pedal flashing green. I already changed the batteries and the battery cases, de-paired and re-paired the pedals and the Edge 1050 computer, without success. From reading the posts, I do not seem to be the first experiencing such problem, but as far as I can^n see, no solution has been given. Obviously, I could continue using the pedals as "Rally 100", but as I have osteoarthritis in the right hip, my right leg pushes less then the left therefore I need 2 sensors to get a realistic power measure.

I have not tried the change but will keep a set spare should the time come. Not sure what tools are needed for taking out the bearing and pressing in the new ones. But at least there is some part that could help us. Would be nice if someone that did this job shares experience and tools?

As you mentioned, the issue with seeing a "Cannot Add Accessory" or "Pairing Failed" error message when trying to pair Rally XC210 pedals with Garmin Connect for iOS was resolved with the 5.27.3 release of the Garmin Connect app. I'm glad to hear that you were able to pair them successfully after updating!

For anyone else who may be experiencing similar behavior, please ensure that your Garmin Connect app is up-to-date through your Apple App Store and create a new thread if the issue persists.

Looking for suggestions as Garmin Support haven't been able to help other than sending me a replacement pair of pedals with the exact same issue.

I have a brand new pair of Rally XC210 that are identified correctly by Garmin Connect, but when I try to set them up it simply tells me "Cannot Add Accessory". If I try to add them to Edge 1050 or Epix Gen 2 it simply spins endlessly before telling me to put them into pairing mode (which they already are)

The batteries are fully charged

The iPhone is 16 Pro on iOS 26.6

Edge 1050 is on f/w 31.33

Garmin Connect is on the latest release

I have tried connecting them to my laptop with Express which works and lets me update the firmware to 6.44 and factory reset, but they still fail to connect to iPhone, Edge or Epix

I have also tried: -

1. Turned Bluetooth on/off, restarted phone

2. Reset iPhone network settings, restarted phone

3. Removed and re-installed Garmin Connect, restarted phone

4. Factory reset pedals

5. Removed all existing Garmin devices from Connect and phone Bluetooth (in addition to the Edge and Epix I also have Varia, XC200 and XC100) in case I was hitting some spurious Bluetooth device limit. Same issue when pairing the XC210 (Cannot Add Accessory), but was able to add back as new all the other Garmin devices.

I have now tried 2 pairs of pedals with the exact same problem.

Anyone else having this issue? Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks for this - you are absolutely correct. Just after I saw your message I saw that Garmin had this evening (13-Aug-26 GMT) released Connect 5.27.3.3. I have just tested this and can confirm you can now pair the Garmin Rally XC210s.

Would have been helpful if their UK Tech Support had been aware of this!

I installed new Rally XC210 pedals on 8/12. Same issues on 2 devices despite multiple restarts. Spoke with Garmin tech support. They were transparent and told me there is an incompatibility issue with the up to date iOS and Garmin Connect. By their report there is no solution until Connect is updated - anticipated hopefully by 8/17. The pedals must connect with Garmin Connect before they can pair with other devices.

It looks like the Garmin Cleats have a 6 degree float but that is not available on the Look KEO cleats with come with 0,4 or 9 degrees float

sorry to not have a solution for you, but I’m also having an issue related to versus right side balance due to recent hip replacement surgery. I’d be interested to discuss it with you at some point. my issue right now, is that my right side, which is the side I had my hip replaced, is generating more power than my left side. I have a spindle based power meter, which shows left and right balance, and I’ve borrowed my son‘s Garmin pedals to make sure that what I’m seeing is accurate. That said, I’m having a problem getting my Garmin pedals showing left and right output. I just ordered a fresh set of batteries so I’m gonna start there

The pedals can be updates using Garmin Connect Mobile or for from a compatible Garmin device.

I have an issue with my pedals and Garmin Connect.

My pedals show up as Sensors, not as Devices. Thus, I can't update the firmware...is there any way to change this?

PS: I can't add them as new devices, they are not detected by my Garmin Edge 1040.

Hello, could you please help me? I have Garmin Rally 200 pedals. I have a question: what is the latest firmware version? When I check, it says "6.4 Plus," but I can't find that version; it seems to be confusing it with the firmware intended for the Rally 210.
