new Edge 1050 will not find or pair with Rally RS 200 Pedals

I have spent over $900 on this gear, it is brand new and it will not pair. But my new Edge 1050 will pair with my 13 year old Garmin speed, cadence sensors and heart rate monitor!

My RK210 pedals needed a charge

The pedals were showing a 16% charge when I started charging them. I used a power bank and connected a USB-A to USB-C split cable so I could charge both pedals at once. I went out to check on them, and the lights were out, and the power bank had turned off. I checked and the pedals were only at 89%. So I'm trying again today (a couple of days later). The power bank has turned itself off a couple of times. I'm now trying to charge one pedal at a time.

Does anyone have any charging tips for me?

Cannot get Rally XC210 to pair with Garmin Connect on iPhone, nor Edge 1050 or Epix Gen 2

Looking for suggestions as Garmin Support haven't been able to help other than sending me a replacement pair of pedals with the exact same issue.

I have a brand new pair of Rally XC210 that are identified correctly by Garmin Connect, but when I try to set them up it simply tells me "Cannot Add Accessory". If I try to add them to Edge 1050 or Epix Gen 2 it simply spins endlessly before telling me to put them into pairing mode (which they already are)

The batteries are fully charged

The iPhone is 16 Pro on iOS 26.6

Edge 1050 is on f/w 31.33

Garmin Connect is on the latest release

I have tried connecting them to my laptop with Express which works and lets me update the firmware to 6.44 and factory reset, but they still fail to connect to iPhone, Edge or Epix

I have also tried: -

1. Turned Bluetooth on/off, restarted phone

2. Reset iPhone network settings, restarted phone

3. Removed and re-installed Garmin Connect, restarted phone

4. Factory reset pedals

5. Removed all existing Garmin devices from Connect and phone Bluetooth (in addition to the Edge and Epix I also have Varia, XC200 and XC100) in case I was hitting some spurious Bluetooth device limit. Same issue when pairing the XC210 (Cannot Add Accessory), but was able to add back as new all the other Garmin devices.

I have now tried 2 pairs of pedals with the exact same problem.

Anyone else having this issue? Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Garmin cleats on Rally Power Pedals-Look KEO pedals do not work properly.

I have the Rally RK210 and have owned several versions of the Vector Pedals. I always used Look Keo Pedals with no problem. Lately, I saw the Garmin Pedals and purchased those for one of my cycling shoes. Works great. However, I purchased a pair of Look Keo pedals with 4 degrees float for another pair of cycling shoes and they make a lot of noise. I kep tthinking it was my chain or drivetrain, but the noise would stop when I stopped pedalling and it was higher when I pushed up a hill. I tried to ride with my shoes that have the Garmin cleats, and there was no noise at all. Something tells me that the Look cleats do not work as well with the Garmin Rally pedals since Garmin now offers their own cleats.

However, no store has any stock in these cleats and I am told they can only order them in September. So the expensive pedals seem to only work properly with the Garmin cleats but we cannot purchase them.,

Is this an actual issue that only I am experiencing?

Garmin Rally 200 right pedal does not communicate with left pedal

Hi,

when I try to calibrate my Garmin Rally 200 pedals, I get a error code 1024, and the right pedal does not communicate with the left. The light on the right pedal is constant green, and on the left pedal flashing green. I already changed the batteries and the battery cases, de-paired and re-paired the pedals and the Edge 1050 computer, without success. From reading the posts, I do not seem to be the first experiencing such problem, but as far as I can^n see, no solution has been given. Obviously, I could continue using the pedals as "Rally 100", but as I have osteoarthritis in the right hip, my right leg pushes less then the left therefore I need 2 sensors to get a realistic power measure.

Rally 200 show up as Sensors, not as Devices on Garmin Connect...

I have an issue with my pedals and Garmin Connect.

My pedals show up as Sensors, not as Devices. Thus, I can't update the firmware...is there any way to change this?

PS: I can't add them as new devices, they are not detected by my Garmin Edge 1040.

What is the latest firmware for the Rally XC200?

Hello, could you please help me? I have Garmin Rally 200 pedals. I have a question: what is the latest firmware version? When I check, it says "6.4 Plus," but I can't find that version; it seems to be confusing it with the firmware intended for the Rally 210.

Rally 200 keeps disconnecting

Hi All,

Have been using a set of Rally 200 pedals since September 2024.
Last year I had the issue that the pedals kept disconnecting from my Edge 1040.
This got solved by swapping the batteries.

This week, during a cycle holiday in Spain, the power meter started misbehaving again.
Half way a ride, they sensor kept disconnecting every 3-4 minutes from my Edge.

Tried the following to fix this:
- Swapped left & right battery (as I did the last time I saw this problem) -> No change
- Installed 2 new batteries from the same brand as before (Duracell) & re-pair with Edge -> No change
- Installed 2 new batteries from other brand (Varta) & re-pair with Edge -> No change

Ended up disabeling the sensor as I got annoyed from the constant beeping.

Any ideas? Or will this be a warranty call?

Using RS210 Pedals Without Connect

I am considering buying a pair of RS210 Pedaks and would pair them with my Connect account for use on the road.

But at home, I'm using ROUVY and FulGaz on an exercise bike which I share with my wife.

So I have 2 questions:

1. Would the RS210 pedals connect directly to ROUVY on the Apple TV to measure power?

2. Would my wife be able to use the same setup but without pairing the pedals to her Connect account?

I just got Rally RK210 pedals...

I charged the pedals until the green light turned solid, then paired them with Garmin Connect on my iPhone, including updating the software to 6.44. I haven't installed them on my bike yet. They are supposed to go to sleep after 4 minutes of inactivity, but they are just sitting on my desk, and the left pedal finally stopped flashing green after about 20 minutes, and the right one has switched to flashing blue (or is it purple - I can't see colors that well) and went another 5 minutes. It just now stopped flashing.

Is this at all normal or expected?

Left Rally RK200 not answering: how can Master mode be detected

Problem:

Right Pedal shows 3 LED flashes (means left Pedal not found). No LED Blinking from left Pedal, no Connection to Edge Computer.
I chatted with Garmin service and get a repair set FOR FREE! The problem however remains. Battery checked. Battery problems are out of question.

In my opinion the pedal pivot shaft may be the source of the problem.

Questions:

1. How find the left pedal out his role as Master?
Garmin Service stated, that the litle round control panel is identical for both sides.
Does anyone know, how the left control panel find out his role as master? Eprom? Jumper?

2. Replacement of pedal pivot shaft
Unfortunately Garmin does not offer pedal pivot shaft. At Amazon I found a dubious offer

Rally RK210 travel mode and battery life

After using travel mode with my new Rally RK210 pedals, the best work around I've found to get the out of travel mode is to carry and portable charger with usb c cable for the charging adapter and power up the pedals. What is the battery life expectancy of the pedals when they are not in travel mode and traveling to the trails. This seems like a design flaw. Thoughts on if garmin has any plans to fix this in the future with a software update?

Rally RK210 rechargeable battery – replacement policy?

I’ve been using Vector 3 pedals for about 5 years and happy with it. I’m thinking of moving to the Rally RK210 with the rechargeable batteries. Does anyone know what Garmin’s policy is if the batteries eventually die? Do they service or replace them, or would it be smarter to go with the older gen pedals that still use replaceable batteries?

Stuck spindle in rally pedals

I am trying to overhaul my rally pedals. I have unscrewed the spindle nut but the spindle won’t come out. In the Garmin video it looks like it almost falls out yet mine won’t come out even with pretty strong force. Any ideas please?

Default crank arm length is 172.5mm - Do I need to change it every ride?

So far, I have a very positive experience with the Rally XC I own, below is one glitch I hope you can help me solve

My cranks are 175mm on the bike I use the most.

I noticed that, although I have changed this value earlier, the pedal goes back to the default 172.5...

Does anyone have an idea on the effect of magnitude of the miscalculation of the watts due to this imprecise setting?

Is there any way to change the default value?

Garmin could give at least an option to check this value before each ride (along with the recommended calibration procedure, I will do a separate whishlist thread)

I can see that this issue has been brought up before, but it appears it was not resolved.

I have been using my Rally RS200 pedals for a few months and they recently stopped showing power and only cadence.

How may this bed resolved?

I am thinking about getting a single sided unit. As far as I know previous Garmin models had frequent issues with the batteries. Are those more any other still an issue?

I prefer this model over the Favero models for their solution with batteries. I plan to keep the pedals in use for many years and while rechargeable batteries are nice, I don't like that Favero glues them in shut and does not provide replacement. I already have that with the Edge device. I am not looking forward towards decaying pedal batteries as well.

I recently got a pair of Rally pedals from a friend. When I removed them from my bike to install on another, I noticed the right pedal has a very grindy feeling when I twist the spindle. I opened it up, cleaned, and regreased it, but the issue persists. Does anyone know what might be wrong or how to fix it?

I replaced both batteries at once. The difference between R pedal and L pedal is 72w/268w. I did a reset, cleaned the contacts, reconnected to the meter. I did a calibration and reset the angles. Nothing helps.

Any idea what can be done?

I bought Garmin RS100 pedals few months ago, and I realized there is some play in some plastic parts compared to my previous Shimano Ultegra pedals.Please, take a look at the video and pictures I attached in below link.

Is there anyone having same issue? I mean, is that slack "normal" in Garmin Rally pedals? I'm not sure if "new noise" I'm hearing since I changed the pedals is due to the vibration of those plastics parts.

I contacted Garmin Spain and they suggested to send them the pedals, now I have pending to do another workout tomorrow and send them back to Garmin for further analysis. But it shall depend on if someone confirms this is normal or not. I'd say this is not good taking into account pedals cost...

Locating Pedal ID on RS200 pedals

I read the other threads, but don't understand the answer.

My pedals show up as a device on my Garmin Connect account, but they are not synced to my IOS device.

When I try to sync them, it asks for a seven digit Left Pedal ID. I can't find any Pedal ID on the pedal.

I do have the serial number of the device that displays on the Garmin Connect App.
