Edge Explore goes into service mode when connecting to USB

Edge Explore enters service mode when it is connected to power source to charge the battery. The problem started when it was repaired - the USB port had to be soldered again.It is possible to get the device into normal operation?

  • Suggesting this as a workaround: Have you tried a microUSB cable that only has (2) power contacts (and dummy contacts for the data side of the interface)? These cheapo cables are often supplied with USB rechargeable blinkies and devices that preclude data transfers.
