No trip recordig in FW version 5.40

H there,

due to son ehealth issues I had a break from cycling for approx. 1.5 years.

Since I am up and about again I took a ride today on my MTB.

Beforhand, as I always do, I connectd my Garmin Expore to my computer, updated everything and charged it up for the ride.

And so it was updated to 5.40

So today I swung on my bike and wanted to start the trip recording (no navigation). Normally I press on „Go“ and then I get another button, and arrow, to actually start the trip recording.

I don`t get that arrow anymore and therefor I can`t start the recording.

Am I missing something here, is this intended?

Any ideas?

Hmmm, I'm on 5.40 as well, and activity recording works just like before. Perhaps the button is malfunctioning?

I was stupid, dumb and god knows what else.

I didnˋt push the bottom right hard button…….

Hi, nice to read your health is good again to go out for a bike ride!

If you don't want to press buttons at the beginning of your ride, you can start the recoding as soon as you start riding.

Go to: Settings > Ride Settings > Timer Start Mode > Auto > Start Speed: I think this should be at least 10km/u.

I use this function since I have my Edge and it never failed logging my ride from the beginning.
