Two yr. old Edge Explore. Charged it yesterday on my PC. At 100%, unpluged it and as usual it went to start up but this time it is frozen at the Garmin Logo/ % of batt. and loading files at the bottom of the screen, at top three little dot flashing. Plugged it back to the PC but now it is not recognized by Windows or Garmin Xpress. Did the hard reset with the two front button and power, no go. Went as far as opening it, thanks Youtube, unplugged the battery, waited , reconnected the battery but still the same. Somehow by luck, I managed to go into the diagnostic menu by pressing start/stop and power. Ram and Rom test OK but a fail at basemap checksum test, not sure what this is !!! Anyone had a similar problem and has a solution.
