Where can I download the 5.30 firmware of the Edge Explore?

And why is it so complicated for Garmin to have a single and simple place that lists all firmwares (latest would already be nice) for all devices?

And why Garmin Connect fails to do the upgrade (it shows as uploading but never completes)?

It seems strange in 2022 that it's still so complicated to do such simple tasks.

Garmin Express is not an option as I don't have a Mac or Windows computer.

BLE transfer is slow and firmware upload takes a long time. Perhaps you are not patient enough? I never had any issues upgrading firmware for the edge explore. Normally the upload happens in the background. Even if the transfer is aborted for some reason, the app picks it up where it left the next time.

I thought so too but I left the Edge Explore next to my phone (Iphone) for a full night. I also synchronize it regularly after rides. The new firmware has been available for weeks now so I guess it should have worked by now.
