The Edge Explore has no barometric altimeter and therefore relies on the GPS altitude calculation which is way less stable.
This means there is noting to reset or recalibrate on the device.
In Garmin Connect however you can chose to have altitude correction of your activitiy 'on' or 'off', but that will not help with the altitude gain showing on your device during your ride.
