Map update issue (Europa cycle 2021.10 very big 10,55 GB

Today on Garmin Express the new update arrived.

This file is very very big !!

10,55 GB

Garmin please do something about this i can't install !

Just updated maps for North America--those files were over 8 GB! Took about as long to download as Columbus navigating to the new world. Presently thinking of trading the Garmin for a sextant.

Delete the currently installed Maps and try again. Should Work

There's no reason to delete the maps, there's nothing wrong and the download was trouble free if epic. That's the point: a normal update comprises over 8 GB of data. Am I alone in considering this over the top?

You would habe enough Space for updating after deleting. Therefore i Made this Suggestion. I have absolute no Problem If the Map gets bigger as Long as it fits on the device. For me the Update worked (without deleting anything). It would be interesting why it got bigger, what has changed. But in General i do Not Care about the size
