Edge touring constantly switching off

My edge touring is well out of warranty and has always had a habit of switching off during a ride, especially during winter,  oddly enough. No amount of firmware roll-backs or re-installs would fix this problem. Turns out, it was an easy hardware fix. I dismantled the device and found excessive rubber sealant around the sd card and charging board, underneath the motherboard. This was causing the connection between motherboard and battery to be very fragile. By scratching away the excess rubber from the motherboard after you tear it away, the device is permanently fixed. The device is exceptionally easy to fix, taking approx 15mins. Two tools required are T6 torx screw and plastic pry tool. There are several video guides on YouTube also.

Hope this has helped!

Happy touring.
