Edge explore map missing whilst following course

Hi folks

Recently bought an edge explore after my old 800 got to small or my eyes. Anyway, when i upload my old gpx. routes to the explore all seems ok but when i ride the routes, there are no maps showing, only the course?

I have tried everything and im afraid i am at a loss of what i am missing? Anyone have any ideas?

Do you see the maps for the same region otherwise (i.e. while not riding a route)?

No. no maps at all. It was working fine when i got it a couple of weeks ago but i assume that one of the updates must have messed the maps up?

In that case your maps probably got lost during an attempted update. Do you use the iOS version of Garmin Express? See this thread, maybe it helps:

Supposedly the latest iOS version should be fixed as well. Perhaps you still have an older version.
