Since the garmin Edge sensor is exposed to the sun, is very imprecise. Please add compatibility with Garmin 520, 130, 1030, 820, 830 and 530 (all Edge devices).
I'm pretty sure that Garmin developers can do it
Thanks!

I tried to request this feature a few months ago but it got buried. We had the brief period when the EE did report temperature after the release of FW 4.0 which created my appetite for this information…
New firmware 4.30.
Garmin add support for Shimano sensors but no for Garmin sensors like Tempe, wrong way Garmin.
Yes I saw your topic but because it was closed I decided to open this new one. I'm software engineer and I don't know the internals limitations of the Edge devices, but from my (Uninformed) point of view…
Thanks EyessOnlyy I sent a suggestion here http://www8.garmin.com/contactUs/ideas/
Please everybody send a suggestion, Garmin can't ignore everyone.
Thanks for the suggestion. Have just added my request for Tempe under Edge.

I think that if its Garmin it shoud be compatable.
Flat.
I was a little startled to discover this myself. All of my bicycles have Tempes under the saddle. This you a much more accurate temperature than a head unit that is out in the sun. Fortunately for me, my FR945 always comes along for the ride where it's main job is data recorder and it IS Tempe friendly. My Edge 520+ is just for looking at data during the ride and navigation. You would think Garmin would be interested in selling more Tempes. For running, they are kind of questionalbe. If you attach it to a shoe, the temperature can change dramatically depending on whether the device is in direct sunlight or shade. On a bike, everybody has a spot where they can keep it in the shade but well ventilated at the same time. That makes it doubly stupid to support it on practically all of the watches but none of the Edge lineup.
Please add Garmin Tempe support for the Edge line!
