Route resume capability?

Does the Edge Explore give you turn-by-turn directions when starting a route (a tcx course loaded from Ride With GPS) partway through it? I have an Edge Touring Plus and it does not seem to. See this post:

Yes, but you must choose "NO" when it asks if you want to navigate to the start of the course. The unit will then start navigating from where you are on the course. This only seems to work well when you are already somewhere on the course. The unit will have trouble if you are a part of the course that is traveled in both directions, like an out-and-back course. It doesn't know if you are coming or going.
