Corrupt Fit File. Absolutely Gutted :( Record Time and Distance Ride. Over 7 Hours and 132 Miles and it Won't Upload :(

FIT File Tools fixed it - fitfiletools.fit

Ran it through the section remover without any adjustments.

Not impressed at the battery life of the Garmin. Went into power save mode and was relieved to get the whole ride done before it died. Saved it and it seemed to work but the screen went funny (perhaps the battery died just after it saved?). The ride shows in activity history but when I click on it it won't bring up any more details.

We can try. Attach the fit file from the \GARMIN\ACTIVTY folder on your 820. We can take a look to see if it is repairable.

Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
Or upload the fit file to a file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., then share a link to the file in your post.

Glad to help. For future reference, a lot of corrupt fit files can be easily repaired using the FIT File Tools site. For badly corrupted files, it might be necessary to use the Fit File Repair Tool or even a Hex Editor program.
