One of my profile is disappeared

I have few profiles on my Edge 820. But one of my profile has disappeared, but all my datas (activities) are still in the device. So is it possible to recover this profile or create a new profile and reinsert each activities that concern in this new profile?

Activities are not attached to Profiles. Activities are labeled by a type, like road cycling, track cycling, mountain biking, BMX, running, swimming, etc. If you have an a Profile identified as road or as mtb, the activities will be automatically labeled as such. However, after uploading to Garmin Connect, you can change the label to any of a multitude of activity types. You can also attach gear to the activity, like which bicycle you used, or shoes, etc..

All your activities should be safe and sound on you 820, and hopefully uploaded to GC.

You can try re-create the profile you lost. It's usually easiest to start with one you have, copy it, rename it and edit it.

Profiles are useful in that you can set up what's displayed (data screens, data fields, maps...) while riding and also set some navigation options and auto features that are appropriate to the type of ride the Profile applies to. All ride data is saved no matter which profile you're using, ...except for the activity label that might be associated with it, which can be changed after the fact.

On the device, total distance, rides, time and calories will be shown for each profile. This is nice, but you can't put in starting value or change it. So you lose that when you delete a profile, and it starts from zero for a new profile.

You can change this data, only not from the device.
All information about profiles and their activities is saved in the file totals.fit
By editing this file, you can change the total distance, calories, rides, time, profiles and other data.
