"Download Failed" Banner at Every Startup

Every time I power my Edge 820 up, I get a "download failed" message in the top bar. What's it even trying to download?
  • This is still not resolved. I just spent an hour in the phone with tech support and all they could say is update my Garmin express and maps. Issue is still present. Support agent had no idea as to what else to try. 820 owners should not have to jump through hoops to get this resolved. Just find out why it's happening and release a software update already! :(
  • I have the same issue. I have nothing waiting in the download queue. My maps are up to date. Tried a hard reset. If I turn Wifi off everything works fine with uploads via Bluetooth.

    Not my worst Garmin Experience, that was with the Scales, but it's coming close. Also still get loads of sensor dropouts especially after pausing and restarting a ride.

    Giving up now - bought a different brand and that works fine.
